Difficulty Level (more “★” means more difficult)
Beginner Level
This category is for students who are new to ballet. The class begins with the standing position, which is essential for beginners and for anyone looking to revisit the most fundamental yet crucial concepts. It then progresses through basic movements like plié, tendu, and jeté, gradually introducing rond de jambe and fondu. The final 20 minutes will focus on stretching and conditioning.
Beginner to Intermediate Level
This category is for students with more than one year of ballet experience. The classes will emphasize strengthening barre exercises with a full routine, including: warm-up, plié, tendu, jeté, rond de jambe, fondu, and adagio. Some classes will also include rond de jambe en l’air and frappé. The Friday 10am Beginner 1 class primarily focuses on barre work (for e.g. 4 sets of tendu and 2 sets of jete at least at the barre) and introducing fundamental center concepts, while other classes may incorporate preparatory exercises for center pirouettes, petit allegro, and jumps.
Intermediate to Advanced Level
This category is for students with two to three years of ballet experience. The class is evenly split between barre and center exercises. In the center, students will work on various turns (pirouettes en dedans and en dehors, piqué turns, lame duck, chaîné, attitude turns, à la seconde turns, etc.) and progress through jumps from petit allegro to grand allegro. The class requires a certain level of stamina but is always filled with fun and energy.
Beginner Pointe and Variation Class
These two classes are designed for students who are ready to move beyond foundational ballet training. The Beginner Pointe class is suitable for students with more than two years of experience who are looking to strengthen their feet in preparation for going en pointe, or for beginner pointe students seeking more training time in pointe shoes. Occasionally, Ms. Chihiro incorporates 4Pointe Methods® as part of the conditioning in class.
The Variation class offers students the opportunity to experience dancing variations and enhance their artistry. It is extremely fun and rewarding. Here is a list of our past variation classes.
Adult Class Fee
The trial class fee is SGD $30. To pre-book, please contact us via WhatsApp at +65-9888-6684. For students who wish to register and continue with our classes, we offer two options: SGD $350 for 11 lessons ($31.8 per lesson) with a validity of 15 weeks, or a single drop-in class at SGD $40 per lesson. Booking needs to be done via o-class system which one can access either via web link (Kadence Ballet Academy (oclass.app)) or o-class mobile app. We accept UEN transfer or cash payment. Credit card payments are NOT accepted.
Please note that the package is non-transferable and can only be extended at our discretion for medical reasons. If a student prefers a specific teacher or class level, we recommend opting for the single drop-in option to avoid issues if a class is cancelled, which may prevent completing the package within the validity period.
